Mille Chief – McNeill Racing new purchase

April 9th, 2009 by iaint

After the success of Walkon, purchased at Royal Ascot last June, Max McNeill has bought Mille Chief in an attempt to go one better in the 2010 Triumph Hurdle than Walkon managed this year.

It is very difficult to say or predict anything at this stage but he is about to be gelded and then turned out in a field for the summer. He comes from the same trainer as Walkon and like most of Max’s horses has been bought by Anthony Bromley from Highflyer Bloodstock.

He was bought after winning his last race and although it is difficult to rate the form it seems to equate to about a mid 80s performer over here.

Fingers crossed he lives up to the promise he has shown in France and Max has as much enjoyment and success as he had with Walkon this season.
